Overview
Blackburn South Netball Club provides opportunities for players and parents to start their umpiring journey.
Eligibility
Umpires must be 14 years or older and have at least two years of playing experience to get started.
Location
All games are held at Sportlink Vermont South, 2 Hanover Rd, Vermont South VIC 3133.
New umpires typically umpire on Saturday morning, with experienced umpires umpiring on Saturday afternoon.
Coaching and Mentoring
Whitehorse Netball Association provides new umpire coaching and mentoring via the ‘Have-A-Try’ (HAT) program.
The HAT program ensures all new umpires can develop their skills in a positive and supportive learning environment.
Uniforms
Blackburn South Netball Club provides a white polo shirt for all new umpires.
A white skirt or shorts and whistle must be purchased by the umpire.
